  • Discover the hidden world of Cambridge colleges with our official Green Badge guides. The University of Cambridge has 31 colleges, from the oldest one founded in 1284 [Peterhouse] to the most recent one founded in 1977 [Robinson College]. A college is where students live and study, and visits are generally permitted outside study time. Booking is recommended and in many cases necessary. Tour numbers are also limited, depending on the college. The entrance fee varies, with some colleges free to enter, while others requiring a fee varying from £5 to £17 for an adult, with concessions for senior citizens, students and children.
