The Magic of
King’s College
A tour of King’s College offers a rich blend of history, architecture, music, and academic tradition.
The College was founded in 1441 by King Henry VI, having the influence of many Tudor Kings. King’s College Chapel is the centrepiece of the college and a masterpiece of Perpendicular Gothic architecture, famous for its fan-vaulted ceiling, stained glass windows, and the world-renowned King’s College Choir. Visitors marvel at the Rubens painting ("The Adoration of the Magi") above the altar.
Famous alumni, such as Alan Turing, Rupert Brooks, John Maynard Keynes, Edward Morgan Forster, wandered through these magnificent buildings leaving their mark in history.
